The obvious problem with Dribble Drive Motion Offenses is… 

Everyone knows you’re gonna DRIBBLE… and you’re gonna DRIVE!

So what defense do we see most (other than zone)… The Pack Line Defense.

We want to drive gaps… and our opponents well, they just “sit right down in them!”

We can try to create all the double gaps and triple gaps we want… but teams that are disciplined in both the gaps and with help side defense take away our biggest strength!

So we need to take a different approach vs those pesky pack line defenses.

There are 3 things we can do.

#1 Add to and mix in Multiple Entries to initiate the offense

#2 Modify or run a “Hybrid” version of Dribble Drive that will incorporate cutting and screening actions that WILL move the defense out of help side… and out of the gaps.

#3 Hyper focus on Player Development and Skills that MATTER.  If you can’t knock down the first domino… your offense will always stall.
