The R.E.A.L. Man (and R.E.A.L Woman) Program is a strategic and progressive program designed to help middle school through college-aged students to reach their full potential, in every aspect of their lives. It was developed to help them maximize their talents, opportunities, and ultimately, their way of living. It is aimed at helping students understand and
live-out the principles of a positive and influential life.
Topics & Themes taught
- Respect: Respect for self, respect for others, respect for women, respect for elders, respect for authority, respect for the majority, respect for the minority, respect for all.
- Integrity: Authentic personhood, genuineness, humility, responsibility and accountability, reliability and dependability, courage, character, honesty, composure and patience.
- Purpose: Understanding the nature of life and the essence of living; establishing clear goals and a plan for action: goal-sighting, goal-setting, goal-planning, and goal-achieving; ambition, determination, diligence, hard work, persistence, perseverance and commitment; positive attitude,
resilience, passion, enthusiasm and a competitive spirit; achieving success.
- Personal Excellence: Making the most of individual talents and opportunities.
- Social Significance: Sacrifice and selfless-service to others; leadership and good citizenship.
- Social Action: Social awareness and engagement, community involvement, civic contribution, social action and social justice; conflict resolution and perspective-taking.
