I have not sent out one of these Simple Truths videos for a while, but
I like this one.

It emphasizes the concept of making small improvements every day.
In my opinion, that is crucial for a basketball team.

One year after we graduated all five starters from the previous year (in
order to emphasize the point of the importance of small improvements
every day in practice), we made the analogy that our basketball program
was like a house and this year's team was building their wall in that house
day by day and brick by brick with the way we practiced.

We put up a poster and would add a brick to the wall each day that we
made progress, and would white out bricks when we went backwards.
I think that illustration of the value of getting better every day helped that
team.  I wish I would have had this video to show them as well.

"Keep your sense of humor. There's enough stress in the rest of your life
to let bad shots ruin a game you're supposed to enjoy."
