The use of analytics in basketball is rising. Once reserved for professional and elite college teams, advanced stats are now dominating the small college and high school scenes.

I came across this must-read from Hudl on 5 trending stats their users trust. They call the series “DNA of a Stat”. Not only does it break down the makeup of these stats, but it also sources coaches to understand how the numbers are actually used.

The analytics movement will continue to grow and, in my opinion, serve as a competitive advantage for those who choose to dig in. I suggest taking a minute to learn more.
